I’m currently reading the new book by Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie.

I have some thoughts on the book I’ll share later; for now I want to focus on details about the dismissal of Rience Priebus that I haven’t seen elsewhere.
I say “dismissal” because Lewandowski and Bossie make it clear that Priebus was fired.
This contradicts the version of events Priebus gave during an interview with Wolf Blitzer.

Previously, I asked if there was a connection between the firing of Priebus and the arrest of George Papadopolous.
What was missing 6 months ago was a timeline for July 27 & 28 of 2016.
“Trump Enemies” gives us some additional details to help us better construct the order of events for those two days.
This article from POLITICO gives us the best account of PapaD’s arrest.
politico.com/story/2017/12/…
After stepping off a flight from Germany, PapaD was taken into custody at Dulles Airport on July 27. The time was 7pm.
There was no arrest warrant.
However, PapaD’s lawyer, Michael Breen, was immediately notified by the FBI that his client was taken into custody.
At 1:45 am, on July 28, PapaD was booked into the city detention center in Alexandria, Virginia.
Breen says that the FBI did not attempt to interrogate PapaD right away.
PapaD was checked out to to federal authorities on at 8:27 am in order to be arraigned in federal court.
Prosecutors told the judge that PapaD had “indicated he is willing to cooperate with the government in its ongoing investigation into Russian efforts to interfere into the 2016 presidential election.”
Papadopolous was let go the "following afternoon" (It is unclear to me from the Politico article that's the 28th or 29th).
The prosecution did not seek bail.
So we can say with near certainty that Trump knew about the arrest of Papadopolous when he tweeted the dismissal of Priebus on July 28, 2016.
It should be pointed out that Lewandowski and Bossie claim that Priebus “knew that it was coming for some time.”
They don’t directly tie his firing to the arrest of Papadopolous.
As Jeff points PapaD has only given a vague account of his arrest.
And Priebus' has been equally evasive in describing the events surrounding his "resignation."
So even with the additional information, the events of July 27 & 28, 2016 are still a bit murky.
Was there a connection?
