Today a discussion came up on how to handle uncertainty over hiring a certain candidate.

A good way to frame this seems to be the following: "Would I want 10 other employees like this person on my team?"
The idea behind this is that this candidate will eventually be in charge of interviewing people to join the company - this happens fairly quickly in small startups; which will influence who you get to hire next.

On Kamal Nath's role in 1984 riots, these are some facts I am aware of (I don't still claim to be certain that Kamal Nath was involved or not and I wonder how people with limited information are so certain)
1. Kamal Nath was present at the Rakabganj gurdwara for some time
2. Rakabganj gurdwara was under seige by mobs and was attacked over a 4 hour period and Kamal Nath was not there throughout, nor when it started or when it ended.
3. On reaching the Gurudwara area, the first thing Kamal Nath did was to establish contact with the police there.
4. There was no case in India against Kamal Nath at all. All focus was on Jagdish Tytler and Sajjan Kumar who in my opinion must be hanged and so should Modi given his clear role in 2002 riots. And Modi is PM. RT if you agree with me, that punishment for rioting should be death.

the music boomed through the crowded street, namjoon feeling it in his chest as he waded through the cluster of twenty somethings and teenagers to see what they were so fascinated by. when he finally gets towards the front though he understands.
there’s four of them, dancers. namjoon had seen them before, but never before a crowd this large. he hadn’t really paid attention to them, but he wasn’t sure why because with the way they were moving their hips, namjoon’s heart was racing.

I'm trying to get through this interesting yet flawed essay on Lara Croft and it's prompting so many distracting thoughts that I can't focus on it, which means it's time to do #IanLivetweetsHisResearch.
(No, this does not mean I'm abandoning the other thread on The Reactionary Mind, I'm just doing a lot of research in tandem these days. Normally I wouldn't start a new thread before completing the current one, but I'll never get through this essay if I don't.)

AU wherein, despite the prejudice people have against hybrids, Jeongguk’s managed to work his way up the ranks and establish a name for himself.
Taehyung, a hybrid w/ a difficult temperament, somehow falls under his care.
The only problem? Jeongguk wants nothing to do with him.
Little context:
More often than not, hybrids are sold as ‘pets’. The handful that do make smth out of themselves still fall victim to some sort of discrimination. Jeongguk’s gone through a lot & is disgusted by it all, so when Taehyung’s given to him, he hates the entire ordeal.
Notes
• Jeongguk has been aged up, so he’s four years older than Taehyung purely to allot for time wherein he becomes successful.
• This may border on nsfw.
• Taehyung will not act as a ‘pet’ or anything similar. He is a person.
