Presenting BoundaryNet - a resizing-free approach for high-precision weakly supervised document layout parsing. BoundaryNet will be an ORAL presentation (Oral Session 3) today at @icdar2021 . Project page: ihdia.iiit.ac.in/BoundaryNet/ . Details 👇 Image
Precise boundary annotations can be crucial for downstream applications which rely on region-class semantics. Some document collections contain irregular and overlapping region instances. Fully automatic approaches require resizing and often produce suboptimal parsing results. Image
Our semi-automatic approach takes region bounding box as input and predicts boundary polygon as output. Importantly, BoundaryNet can handle variable sized images without any need for resizing. Image

Cool Find!!! Adam Wynne recently messaged me to ask if I had any information about the ghost sign on the south side of 111 River Street in Toronto. The building is currently under threat of demolition.
I wrote back that I had nothing on it, surprised because I didn't even know there was a ghost sign at the location. However, I agreed to dig further. All the lettering I could make out from the photos at the beginning was choppy, "Office... .... & Co."
I stared at this faded sign through several years of Google Street Views for far too long, messaged back and forth with Adam about the history of the surrounding area, dove into the usual some online research, and started tracing what lettering I could decypher...

So what is really happening in #SheikhJarrah?
At the end of the 19th century the committee of the Sephardi Jews in Jerusalem and the committee of Knesset Israel (Ashkenazi Jews) bought the land in #SheikhJarrah that was completely empty at the time.
In the 1950’s the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan that controlled the land illegally, decided to build 28 houses for Arab Palestinian refugees. The price the Palestinian families needed to pay for a house was giving up on their refugee statues and their refugee cards.

I am English, and I am elated that Georgia has turned #Blue and come out for Biden.
I'd like to tell you why.
Most of my followers are Pro Europe, #FBPE, and American has such a different system and history to here, this might help explain things a little.
1/
Biden is now leading in Georgia by 917 votes!
#Georgia has turned #Blue!
American politics is purposefully confusing, but THIS is hugely significant. Georgia is not any old state.

A win in Georgia would leave Biden one electoral vote short of the presidency. But there's more..
2
#Georgia is old slaver territory.
Georgia is where many freed slaves stayed.
Georgia is grass roots civil rights movement.
Georgia has seen huge voter suppression.
Georgia’s Black women have done the world proud.

Just Look. 91% is #Historical.

1-Today we shall continue to dive deeper into the aspects of #Past #Life #Astrology.

And the very first word that comes to mind is #Karma.

#Karma is actually a poorly understood term.

Most people think of Karma and might think of punishment and retribution. (1/25)
2-The fact is Karma is like a #Cosmic, ongoing, Instruction Design of God.

Karma is rather concerned with #Evolution and #Growth.

@BabaRamDass used to often say, “May be the #Law of #Karma itself is #God” (2/25)

In developed #countries, #government policies to restrict private behavior in response to #COVID-19 have had no effect in reducing #deaths at all. Excess all-cause mortality is actually associated, though insignificantly, with increasing restrictiveness.
In developed #countries, #deaths caused by #COVID-19 have had no — zero – correlation with #government policies of increasing restrictiveness such as #lockdowns.
Given the statistical #evidence, it is reasonable to infer, in the absence of contrary statistical evidence, that increasing restrictiveness does not decrease mortality. Any assumption or assertion that it does is not following the #science – and #ScienceMatters.

The last #freespeech before the seizure of power by the #Nazis at the Reichstag meeting on 23 March 1933 in the #Berlin Krolloper of the SPD member Otto Wels (@spdbt):
"We are defenseless, but defenseless is not dishonorable. Of course, the opponents want us to honor, there is no doubt about that. But that this attempt at divorce will fall back on the authors themselves, because it is not our honor that is destroyed in this world tragedy,
that is our faith to the last breath. Freedom and life can be taken from us - not the honor!"

1/ Manu (The progenitor of Humankind)
All different races of Mankind are derived from Manu and Shradha. The current Manu is Vaivasvata Manu.
2/ The word Manu literary means man but it is a title given to the progenitor of mankind. According to Hindu Puranas there are many kalpas (One day of Lord Brahma the creator) and each Kalpa has 14 manvantara and each manvatara has one manu. So basically each Kalpa has 14 Manus.
3/ The current manu of the present manvantara is Shraddhadeva or Vaivasvata Manu of this current Kalpa. He is the son of Vivasvat (Probably Surya) and is therefore also known as Manu-vaivasvata.
