What a man!

A serving Military Head of State who was a former Governor & a former “OIL MINISTER” built his only house with a loan when he could easily empty the Central Bank without anybody raising a finger

BUHARI/ATIKU: THE STORY OF TWO LOANS, ONE MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR PERSONAL EMPIRE

When yesterday I released a 1984 Union Bank loan seeking document of PMB (then Head of State) sent to me by former staff of d bank, I knew I wld ruffle some feathers but that was d least of my motives
For releasn d document. My primary motive was bigger & more relevant to d welfare of Nigeria viz-a-viz its bastardisation by assorted looters in high&low places. This follow-up piece is a response to comments by some supporters of Atiku Abubakar whose effort to deny Buhari credit
for d “abnormal” behaviour of seekn a bank loan while serving as Head of State was nothing bt excessive expression of envy- 4 good reason though,as I wl explain.

In blind desperation to launder his image& justify his stupendous questionable wealth, former VP&PDP presi. candidate
has used different theories to explain d source of his multi-billion dollar business empire. I captured all of Atiku’s theories in an article I wrote titled “The “Atikulated” Story of Atiku” in my modest effort to seek explanation from supporters of Atiku whc may help clear d air
I’m picking one of Atiku’s theories of its relevance for d purpose of this piece.

In an interview circulated widely Atiku claimed thus:

“I recognized very early in life that I have a good nose for business. In 1974 I applied for and obtained a Federal Staff Housing Loan
The loan, which amounted to 31,000 Naira, was d equivalent of my salary for five years. I was granted a plot of land by the Gongola State Government at Yola Government Reserved Area (GRA). I hired a foreman and began building my first house. With close personal supervision
The bungalow was completed on time& to my taste. I rented it out. d rent I collected in advance on d house was substantial enough 4 me to purchase a 2nd plot. I built my 2nd house there&rented it out. I continued to plow back d rent into d building of new houses &within a few yrs
I had built eight houses in choice areas of Yola. I also built a new house for my mother and rebuilt the old mud house I bought for her in Ganye when I was a 15-year-old student. Property investment can be very rewarding." Unquote
Funnily just a decade after a barely visible officer of d Nigerian Customs Service, Atiku Abubakar acquired his N31,000 loan in 1974,in 1984 a very visible Head of State of d Federal Republic of Nig., former Governor of d North East(6 states of today’s N’East)&former Oil Minister
Major GMB,acquired his N260,000 loan for d same purpose of building a house. Just a gap of 10yrs btw d 2 loans. That’s whr d similarities end 4 d questions to begin. Wht happened that Atiku could transform his N31,000 loan into a multi-billion dollar empire y PMB's loan couldn’t?
I will not allocate time to discuss d impossibility of Atiku’s loan theory as I’ve done so in d earlier mentioned article which is still available on d internet for students of “Magical Economic Theories” to benefit with. My concern is to smoke Atiku out of his imaginary world
And pitch him wit Buhari in a real world contest to find for Nigeria a suitable manager in whose hands Nigeria would not be reduced into a personal piggy bank. I will however, lightly explain why Buhari’s loan refused to metamorphose into a billion dollar empire while Atiku’s did
The reason is simple. In Atiku’s case there’s NO LOAN! I’m yet to be presented superior proof or even logic to shift position. I’m using this opportunity to assit Atiku take his LOAN THEORY to its logical conclusion by providing Nigerians wit proof(s) dt there was indeed,a loan
A house build, sold & d proceeds reflowed into a business capital dt grew into a multi-billion dollar empire. Nw dt a Good Samaritan has leaked Buhari’s loan document to d public to help in CAMPAIGNING 4 HIS RE-ELECTION,shouldn’t d army of supporters campaigning 4 Atiku’s election
Invade bank archives to unearth his loan documents as a 1st step towards convincing Nigerians of his suitability as a President? THIS IS A CHALLENGE in case u missed it.

The point is, Nigeria has suffered enough in d hands of dupes & tricksters to risk experimenting with lies.
If Atiku supporters have lies they could hang Buhari with, this is the time and vice versa. We should have a common understanding though - having an honest man with enough integrity to guarantee the safety of our commonwealth installed into Aso Rock is non-negotiable.
With d zeal Atiku supporters are looking forward for a presidential debate, I think this will prepare them against what d day would be like with honesty & integrity being a critical leadership requirement.
Once again, I attached herewith “HEAD OF STATE, MAJOR GENERAL MUHAMMADU BUHARI” Union Bank’s loan document.
