The belief that global warming is caused by man rests on a collectivist view of man—i.e., that there is an entity consisting of billions of people acting as a unit. But in fact, there are only individual human beings, acting separately and independently.
Thus, global warming is at most the unintended by-product of the actions of billions of people over almost 250 years, for which no one individual or voluntary association of individuals is responsible. AN ACT FOR WHICH NO ONE IS RESPONSIBLE IS AN ACT OF NATURE.
What would be the way to deal with global warming once it is seen as an act of nature? Through global central planning by a few thousand “experts” or by the separate, independent planning of billions of individuals, coordinated by the price system—i.e., socialism or capitalism?
The real danger is not global warming but the collectivist effort to manipulate the climate against global warming through the throttling of industrial civilization. We are to be “saved” by destroying our ability to produce.
Efforts to destroy our ability to produce are failing and time is running out. Do not be surprised if the day comes when the collectivists urge the slaughter of people, particularly Americans, who emit the most CO2, as the means of “saving the planet.”
The doctrine of the equality of species is widespread among environmentalists. That doctrine implies that a holocaust not of 6 million but 6 billion would be justified to “save the planet.” They would defend it by arguing that mankind has probably killed 6 trillion insects.
If all species are equal, what are 6 billion people against 6 TRILLION insects? Environmentalism is a sociopathic movement more nakedly evil even than socialism.
In this series of tweets, I have assumed that global warming is real. In fact, it may not be. For in the history of our planet, a CO2 level 8 times higher than the present has been accompanied by an ice age. For more, go to amzn.to/1OoWpRy
