Most folks don’t realize how popular Thomas Dixon was as he spread the myth about Redemption that gave rise to the 20th cen KKK.

I expect @albertmohler will get some pushback from angry white nationalists for simply telling the truth about the seminary’s deep complicity in America’s systemic racism. But on the whole, this is the kind of lament that makes white Christians feel good about ourselves.
It confesses that the plantation economy relied on #SlaveholderReligion to justify human bondage, but doesn’t examine the ways that false teaching distorted the hermeneutic the seminary taught. In 72 pages, the report doesn’t mention a single black theologian.

As Rev Robert Dabney of Richmond, VA confessed mid 19th century, pro-slavery advocates had to “push the Bible argument continually” to try to take the moral high ground from abolitionists.
The Union won the Civil War & officially abolished slavery w/ the 13th amendment, but #SlaveholderReligion won legitimacy by claiming the moral high ground in the crusade for Redemption.

At the request of Immigration & Customs, Samuel left the church where he has stayed for nearly a year to attend an appointment. He thought he was in the process of receiving documentation. B/c sanctuary has been his protection, the church & community went with him.
When he entered the office, ICE officers tackled him & drug him to a van behind the building. Clergy led supporters in nonviolent resistance, circling the van & linking arms.

Ve lo faccio dire da Bankitalia. Usano un periodo ipotetico (protasi ed apodosi), basandosi sul passato. I tassi sui mutui potrebbero ampliarsi perché è già accaduto. E perché non è ancora accaduto? Non lo dicono. Ma lo sanno.😉
Per i prestiti alle società non finanziarie cambia poco. Solo un lieve incremento del margine sui prestiti a tasso fisso. Anche qui si usa un periodo ipotetico.
