BIG NEWS - European Court of Justice says the UK can unilaterally revoke Article 50 therefore cancelling the Brexit process without approval from EU 27 states
The only provisos are (a) state must cancel Article 50 process before the notification period (2 years - i.e. 29 March 2019 for UK) ends and (b) the revocation must follow a 'democratic process' in line with state's constitutional requirements 
This is the final word - there are no appeals. Article 50 can be revoked and UK could cancel Brexit at any time up to 29 March 2019. Well done @JolyonMaugham and the @GoodLawProject for bringing the case and giving our MPs clarity. A 2nd Referendum is now a distinct possibility
Why does this judgment dramatically increase prospects of a 2nd Referendum? Because until today, nobody was sure that if we had a 2nd Ref before Brexit Day (subject to extensions) that it would be in our hands to cancel Brexit if people voted for that. Now we know it's possible.

I do wonder if the reference to a state expressing a wish through its "democratic process" *and* "in accordance with its constitutional requirements" is a cheeky little reference to a 2nd referendum. The "democratic process" language is not from the text of Article 50 itself
