There are so many parts of disabled history than can be represented in film, and I'm sure there are many I don't know about. One that sticks out in my mind from an Irish perspective is the 2015 protest outside the Dáil.
It was to last for 72 Hours (I'm not sure how long it lasted in the end) and was done by a number of powerhouses in disability; many of whom are no longer with us. Can you imagine how exciting it would be to watch a film that would go through the planning and implementation:
of such a massive protest? To follow disabled activists as they prepared to stage what is now one of the most iconic protests of all time? It would be incredible!
