Do you know what one of the worst bits about being #disabled is? It's having NO CHOICE about so much stuff.

I rely so much on my husband, my cleaning ladies and a wide variety of delivery services to bring me stuff.

For example - @sainsburys have been really annoying (1)
I ordered one product, @sainsburys mistakenly delivered another. I can't get to store to exchange it. I've tried to get a refund for this FIVE TIMES over the last few days - I was definitely being phoned on Monday, except I wasn't. #SainsburysRant (2)
Now the reason this is upsetting is that I don't have the product I ordered, paid for and wanted.

I can barely walk. I find it close to impossible to go to a small shop: I can't get to a supermarket to buy the things I want. #SainsburysRant (3)
I use a FUCK LOAD of favours every day.

This really isn't about the fact that @sainsburys are refusing to process a refund. It's about the fact that for the next week I'll be scrimping a little bit on milk each day to make up for the carton I can't use. #SainsburysRant
I don't want to spend a favour on getting more milk, because I'll need it for something more important.

This is the everyday reality of being severely #disabled

So, @sainsburys can you be a little bit less useless and PLEASE GIVE ME MY REFUND? #disability (5)
#SainsburysRant continues. @sainsburys tell me that my 5.45 call today isn't happening, instead I'll be contacted within 48 hours.... My complaint started nearly a week ago!
For those avidly following #SainsburysRant, I haven't had a phone call today - it's now been 7 days since I raised the issue and requested a refund...@sainsburys desperately need to employ some more customer service staff.

#Surrender doesn’t depend on the object, it is a quality that you bring into your #being. To whom you surrender is irrelevant.

Any object will do. You can surrender to a tree, you can surrender to a river, you can surrender to anything, your wife, your husband, your guru.
Even through stones, people have attained because it is not a question at all to what you #surrender.

You surrender, and that brings the whole thing, that opens the door. Surrendering, the effort to surrender brings an opening to you.
If you are open to stone, you become open to the whole existence, because it is only a question of opening. How can you be open to a stone, and not open to a tree?

A) As heartbreaking as this is, I feel the need to share some important info about my mom Maggie. I've always been honest with you all, but this one is really hard. The pic below, taken in September, was the last time I was able to have a proper/coherent conversation with her.
B) Since that photo was taken, she has rapidly fallen into the throes of dementia. This is never easy for any child, I know this is a reality that millions of people deal with every year. But when it comes to my mom this is particularly hard because her sharp mind was everything.
C) My mom is 98 and up until this past couple years she was so sharp she always kept me on my toes. Her mind was so naturally quick, funny, and smart. No one could get anything past her. Watching that slip away so fast has been devastating.

Universal scorn for this jejune piece which reminds me of things I said as a junior high student being raised in an activist Socialist household.

Sometimes one should read and educate one's self rather than just talk to hear one's own voice. Sanders should try that.
It is unsurprising to me that black and female activists are eyerolling this piece which is another version of Sanders' "big banks! oligarchs!" stump speech from 2016. The only new item here is a brief insertion of Trump--who many feel Sanders enabled into office.
Sanders' history--modern and not--is sketchy as it is vague.

Americans love to claim this country as the oldest democracy as Sanders does, but we aren't and it's the small wrong points like this that are also irksome.

Sanders just ignores inconvenient history.

Because I live on a ventilator and am nearly quadriplegic, I have 24-7 nursing. Having this nursing is the only thing that stops me from ending up in a facility or nursing home in my 30s.

Once a year, every year, the state gets to decide IF I'm allowed to keep my nursing care.
Today is one of my least favorite days of the year. I sat with a woman for an hour who asked me a bunch of questions and fills out a report, which is then sent to the state.

Some random person, who knows little about me, will determine if I'm worthy of continuing care and life.
IF the state were to determine I'm not worthy of such care I would be forced to go to an institution. I would have no recourse and no alternatives. It would happen, against my will for "my safety"

Imagine, if once a year, every year someone had the power to determine your future
