With the end of 'positivity day' almost here, I wanted to say thank you to everyone who gave their favourite songs or films to the threads. I can't wait to scroll back through them and make film lists for myself, or little playlists
On the movement thread, I wanted to try and get this across as much as possible; I adore being disabled. Without disability I wouldn't have been given some of the wonderful opportunities I have been so far. I wouldn't be able to make the difference I like to think I'm making
I have a wonderful community of disabled friends, and I adore them. We're all unique in so many ways, and we constantly do our best to build each other up however possible. That kind of positivity is hard to come by, and sometimes its a valuable life line
It costs absolutely nothing to be sound, and to be inclusive. I want being disabled to be celebrated as much as every other diversity movement; because disability is not a negative thing. It's just different; and I wouldn't change anything about my life.
Positivity helps me embrace who I am. Little comments here and there may seem insignificant; but they mean the world sometimes. So just remember to be sound to each other, push for better diversity in positivity. The world is messy enough. Every kindness helps 💚
Thank you again for another wonderful curation day! Tomorrow is a 6:30 start and a bit of whizzing around before I head to Belfast but I'll take ye with me every bit of the way! Sleep well 💤💕
