I will say, however, the Soho Apple Store *gratuitously* wiped my iPhone when I took it in to replace a cracked screen. And where is Congress on that?

The report is not so long. Strzok and Page has Samsung’s issued by FBI and iPhones issued by DOJ. It seems they used their FBI devices to text. The FBI’s automated surveillance tool didn’t sweep 19k of the texts but OIG was able to recover them. oig.justice.gov/reports/2018/i…
Nothing of substance was reported on Strzok and Page’s DOJ-issued iphones when they were checked back in by Mueller’s team, the report says. They were then sent back to DOJ, reset, and reissued in the ordinary course. No one has discovered a scandal to write about in this report.
The president and his attorney are conflating the routine wiping and resetting of the DOJ iPhones (which apparently were little used) with the 19k texts on the FBI Samsung devices that weren’t automatically captured by FBI HQ (but which were not lost; they’ve got them now).
