I tried and failed to bring the term “turnkey tyranny” to prominent use and understanding through my social media during the Obama admin. Here’s what that is: 
This is why I don’t trust *anybody* with the kind of Orwellian power that came via the USA PATRIOT Act (Bush) and the expansion of the surveillance state (Obama). But at least they were elected (based on lies, but elected nonetheless).
But once you understand the concept behind #TurnkeyTyranny, it’s even *more* frightening (to me) that our intelligence community - not beholden to the voters *at all* - can push a “Russia collusion” narrative like this...
They pushed it through the press in order to get an official investigation started into an *elected* (*also* based on lies) official, which (as predicted) will lead to the exposure of tons of corruption (standard for he and his 2016 opponent) but no “Russia campaign collusion”.
This begs the question: Who actually runs this government? The govt is *supposed* to be “by, for and of the people” but how can it be that if elected officials can be ousted by those who are not at all accountable to us? We can’t vote the FBI/CIA/NSA out!
This kind of turnkey tyranny is much scarier than the kind I was trying to warn about with Bush and Obama. It means by cheering these IC agencies on, we’re voluntarily handing over control (what little we had) of our own government to nameless/faceless people.
These are dangerous times, folks. And not just because Trump is a dimwitted egomaniac.
