I feel alienated by conservatives’ eager embrace of a corrupt dummy pushing fascism and white supremacy, where’s my “pensive stare out the window” profile?
I want to see soft-lit profiles of voters who feel alienated by conservatives so deeply attached to a bigoted cultural domination that they deliberately ignore a rapidly impending extinction-level climate threat.
It shouldn’t be controversial to say a politics that attacks human dignity and threatens human survival is a shameful politics.

What if people adhering to shameful politics are *supposed* to feel alienated?

Can we start with that premise?
Pro-slavery conservatives felt alienated by abolitionists in 1850.

Pro-segregation conservatives felt alienated by the Civil Rights movement.

Anti-enfranchisement conservatives felt alienated by suffrage.

Good.

Right?
Remember, centrists talked about abolitionists 150 years ago the same way they talk about leftists today.

It’s an indication of how successful the radical oligarchist movement has been at reframing the public discourse, that something as common-sense as a 70% marginal rate for the highest brackets is considered a radical outlier.
Radical oligarchists have so taken over public discourse that people whose entire ethos and mission is consolidating over half the world's wealth in the hands of a few thousand call themselves "conservative" and nobody says anything.

I found the entire Tucker Carlson segment, which I VERY hesitantly repost here. I want to declare my biases: I believe people like Carlson and Bannon are professional propagandists, bad faith actors, who are pushing white supremacy.

No, they aren’t handing out tiki torches or white hoods, but they are introducing the lie that "you are not racist to blame 'others' for your problems."

This clip is an excellent example of how they elicit the maximum emotional response while carefully inserting this lie.
His technique here is bait and switch. I list all the questions he poses in the clip, starting with the diversity question, before he switches to off-topic, but emotional questions. This intentional technique does not allow for an actual debate about the value of diversity.

Interviewing Steve Bannon as part of a news article is loathsome enuf. Giving him platform,amplifying his views on fest stage of 1 of world’s foremost literary magazines is abominable & dangerous. It legitimizes. White liberals w/nothing to lose are upset he’s disinvited.
