My Benue people, #DidYouKnow the stretch of the Enugu—Makurdi Exp between Otukpo & the Benue-Enugu Border is being fixed?

Otukpo-Ugbokolo(40km) almost finished

Ugbokolo-Border(36km) just commenced

Also, @FMPWH just flagged off Phase 2 rehabilitation work on Otukpo-Aliade Road
.@igalaman traveled the route yesterday. Confirms that Otukpa-Otukpo largely fixed. Says traveling on that road, once a “no go area” now “a delight.”

Indeed it used to be one of the worst roads in Nigeria, as the attached @ynaija article from 2012 notes:

One more thing: Loko—Oweto Bridge linking Benue to Nasarawa across River Benue is almost finished. Been like five years in the making - finally getting to the end.

Will reduce travel time between South East Nigeria and Abuja by about 3 hours, according to @FMPWH
