Since the early 1970s Presidents & candidates have chosen to release their tax returns publicly. In the hope of making this information more widely available, the Tax History Project has compiled an archive of presidential & candidate tax returns.

Financial disclosures do not include how much a candidate paid in taxes and, thus, what their effective tax rate was.

So, a public release of tax returns is the only method of seeing how a candidate might personally benefit from proposed tax laws

Very calmly and clinically, on a weekly basis, I'd like to see the House announce and then begin to execute investigations into the many obviously corrupt practices of this administration. Corruption in the White House should be the constant theme.
Thinking strategically, don't even start with Trump, and don't talk "impeachment." Week 1 is Zinke and his self-enrichment scheme at Interior. Week 2 put forward a law which compels presidential candidates to release their tax returns and dare Republicans to reject it.
Week 3: the EPA and investigations on the politicizing of formerly scientific positions. Week 4: response to hurricanes in Puerto Rico. Week 5: Trump family business entanglements week. Week 6: Subpoena Trump's tax returns. etc...
