Crowd filling in for the first @ewarren stop in Iowa since she announced presidential exploratory committee.
We’ve hit capacity with more than half hour til start. Folks gathering out in the cold to try and listen
And sure enough Warren briefly addressed the crowd outside apologizing that there wasn’t room
Warren on stage, ahead of schedule. “These are dangerous times for our country. And Iowa is going to have a big part in determining where we go next.”
And the sound system went out at Warren event. She asks crowd to be quiet and keeps speaking.

Someone in audience jokes: "Russian hackers."
One might say she is persisting.
And the sound system is back
Warren: "I am grateful to America down to my toes. I am grateful but I am also determined. I am determined that we build an America were not just the children of rich children get a chance to build something."
A new one for me on the presidential campaign trail: Attendees were given tickets when they arrived and now numbers being announced so those lucky ticket holders can ask question
A woman who has known Warren since law school got called on, asked about abortion.

"For me this is a question about the role of law. I know that these are very hard personal family decisions. I think the role of government here is to back out."
Warren asked generally her foreign policy view and how she'd deal with challenges she'd inherit.

"I want to talk about it in a little different way than most folks talk about it," she begins. "I think one of the biggest threats we face is the rise of autocracies."
Warren talks about political corruption that comes even in countries with autocrats technically elected.

"So this economic message that I talk about is one that we not only need to live here in the United States. We need to walk the walk in the world about this."
Warren asked about refugee/immigration issues. "We cannot give up the dream of immigration reform, for our Dreamers, for our refugees."
Warren talks about visiting detention facility at the border. "I saw cages full of women. It was unbelievable. It was like a giant Amazon warehouse that was dirty."

Says U.S. needs immigration policy the distinguishes between criminals “and 9-year old girls."
