Seahawks fans, we're going to have a long talk about Brian Schottenheimer.
Seattle doesn't have Blake Bortles or Case Keenum at QB.
This is Russell Wilson.
16 Wilson passes @ 8.3 YPA vs
21 non-Wilson runs @ 2.8 YPC
One of the worst called games w a good QB I can remember.
Pete & Brian: It is now 2019. It is NOT OK to lose a playoff game because the other team "stopped your run game" when you have Russell Wilson as QB.

You must adapt in-game. You did nothing. It's insulting to your players and fans. You LOST this game because of YOUR play calling.
You should have known entering this game Dallas was #5 vs the run & #16 vs the pass YTD.

You should have known that the Dallas pass defense ranked #31 in success rate the last month of the season.

But even if you did NO PREP to understand Dallas, how do you not adjust in-game?
Russell Wilson averaged 8.6 YPA & recorded a 106 rating.

The Seahawks RBs averaged 2.8 YPC on 21 runs.

In the 1st half on 1st downs, your:
• runs averaged 2.0 YPC
• passes averaged 14.5 YPA

and yet you kept running on 1st down in the 2nd half like it was +EV vs passing.
In the first half Wilson was 7/11 with 8.8 YPA.

Your RB-run game gained 19 yards on 9 carries, 2.1 YPC. Your longest run was 5 yards.

And yet you came out the locker room on the 1st drive and went:

1st & 10: 1 yard RB-run
2nd & 9: 3 yard RB-run
3rd & 6: predictable pass
PUNT
Trailing on every offensive play of the 2nd half & knowing the run game was burnt, you went full DGAF:

1st down play calls on your first 4 drives of the 2nd half:

6 RB-runs: 3.9 YPC, 14% success rate
1 pass: 9 yards, 100% success rate

HOW. DO. YOU. DO. THIS. TO. YOUR. TEAM?
You are losing a must-win game. Your run game was 🗑 in the first half.

What did you do at halftime?

What did you study that made you think you’re giving your team a BETTER chance to win by calling RB-runs on 6 of 7 first downs to start the 2nd half?

🗣 YOU HAVE RUSSELL WILSON
In the 1st half you averaged 2.1 YPC on 9 RB-runs.

Despite trailing called 12 RB-runs in the 2nd half.

Did you see something at halftime you thought you could exploit in the run game? Did you witness an epiphany? Or did you *hope* it would improve & your defense would do well?
I've never seen a more puzzling game plan in the playoffs where:
•You knew ahead of time they had a good run D
•You have a very good QB
•He is healthy
•Game starts & you can't run
•The pass game is working
•You're losing all 2nd half
•You run early & often in the 2nd half
You chose to use a run-heavy game plan v Dallas. You wanted to "do what we do" even though it's not the way to beat them. Fine

The fact you didn't adjust at halftime is inconceivable.

That cost you this game. Russell's arm could have won it. Pete, Brian: it's on you. Sorry #12s
