Ok, it's time for our run down of our 100 top selling graphic novels of 2018.

Buckle up because this is going to take a while, and yeah I'll be taking breaks here and there.

Plus I'm still in work so, I might have to do some of that too.

Before we start I just want to give you a quick overview of our year in graphic novels.

This year we sold 5113 different titles in store. (that's a lot)

Graphic novel sales were UP on 2017 by 4%. (yay)

Part works aren't included.

The way we calculate rankings is by number of units sold.

If 2 books sold the same amount of units then the book with the higher retail price takes the higher place.

If there's a tie situation where the books have the same RRP then they're tied and will share the rank.

We're not tagging creators on this rundown, it'd be crazy to tag every writer, artist, inker, letterer, colourist, assistant editor and editor for each entry. But for a change if you want to tag creators work away.

This year was different, we didn't do separate lists for manga, art books, or novels.

So if you're surprised your favorite book isn't in the list odds are it was probably close to it, but the inclusion of manga etc meant some books that were in the top 100 before aren't now.

And sorry everyone but no.

I won't check where your favorite book came if you ask sorry.

I'm just focusing on the top 100 today.

Lastly, these sales only reflect our store and our store only, your LCS might be totally different.

Odds are it is.

98 was a tie between our store exclusive to Curse Words volume 1 and Tokyo Ghoul Volume 3.

97: Darth Maul Son of Dathomir.

96: I Hate Fairyland Volume 3. (our Fuck Fairyland store exclusive cover)

94: Batman Dark Prince Charming HC.

91 was tied between Star Wars Volume 1 Skywalker Strikes and Batman The Dark Knight Returns.

90: Injustice Year Three Complete TP.

88 was a tie between My Hero Academia Volumes 5 and 9.

87: I Hate Fairyland Volume 1. (our store exclusive Fuck Fairyland edition)

86: The Walking Dead Volume 30 New World Order.

85: Star Wars Darth Vader Volume 2 Shadows and Secrets.

84: Paper Girls Volume 1.

83: Tokyo Ghoul: re book 1.

82: Extremity Volume 1. (our store exclusive edition)

81: Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers Volume 1.

80: Attack on Titan Volume 2.

79: Phoebe and Her Unicorn book 1.

75 was a tie between Injection volume 1 and the Wicked + The Divine volume 1. (note, we had done store exclusives to both of these but they sold out)

74 was our first three way tie with the Walking Dead volume 29 Lines we Cross, Flash (Rebirth) volume 5 Negative and Paper Girls Volume 4

73 was another tie between My Heroes Have Always Been Junkies and Batman (Rebirth) volume 6 Bride or Burglar.

72 was yet another three way tie. This time between The Witcher volume 1, Judge Dredd The Complete Case Files volume 1 and the Wicked+Divine volume 7.

71: My Hero Academia volume 6.

70: Tokyo Ghoul volume 2.

69: Saga volume 7.

68: Deadpool Kills The Marvel Universe.

67: Green Lantern Earth One.

66: Kill Or Be Killed volume 3 (our store exclusive edition)

65: Half Past Danger.

64th place was a tie between My Hero Academia volumes 4 and 10.

63rd place was shared between Batman (Rebirth) volumes 3 I Am Bane and volume 5 The Rules of Engagement.

62: Dark Nights Metal Dark Knights Rising.

17 is Batman (Rebirth) volume 1 I am Gotham

Our 16th highest selling graphic novel of 2018 is Dark Nights Metal.

The 15th is Tokyo Ghoul volume 1

14th is Civil War II

Lucky number 13 is none other than the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Side note on this is that the netflix show catapulted this from the bottom end of the list to our 13th best selling book.

We kind of figured this may happen so while it was easy to get, we got A LOT.

Number 12 on the list, the Killing Joke.

And number 11, Eternal.

That was a nice surprise.
