1) I firmly believe Ricardo Pereira (5.3M) is the best defender to own from now until the end of the season in #FPL, here's why... {THREAD}

2) Firstly (and perhaps most importantly) Leicester will not have a blank GW in GW33 and only a 5% chance of having one in GW31 (H/T @BenCrellin).

Leicester's options are the securest ones around to navigate the upcoming GWs and Periera is the best Leicester option.

3) GW 27-35, Leicester's fixtures are the best in the league (and 2nd best between 27-38):

4) Before GW27, the next 4 fixtures are:

MUN

Therefore, essentially you just need to navigate liv and MUN, which if you own AWB and/or Bednarek you can quite comfortably, with sou & FUL and CRY & bur respectively.

5) Pereira's PPG is already in the top 10 for defenders, with his best fixtures to come:

6) And for his price he is already the best performing defender (value for season):

7) Leicester's defence is actually the 6th best in the league with only

keeping more clean sheets than their 7.

8) And of course, Pereira has a big attacking threat and has been playing OOP on occasions helping him record 2 goals and 4 assists already this season.

Only 7 defenders (Morrisson, Doherty, Bellerin, PVA, Robertson, Alonso, Kolasinac) have had more touches in the box.

9) A goal, an assist and a CS in his last 3 GWs has also made him the most in form defender in the game:

10) As for price contemporaries:

Digne has strong fixtures but EVE have only recorded 4 CS vs. Leicester's 8. Also Pereiras PPG, value and form is superior.

55% of Doherty's total points came in the first 8 GWs of the season & Wolves have kept 1 CS in the last 13 GWs.

11) In conclusion:

✅ Pereira has the perfect storm of form and fixtures
⏰ Practically guaranteed games in both GW 31 and 33 when most don't
🤑 Offers the best value for $
👴🏻 Other options in that bracket could have their best points behind them
