back when i used to engage with randos more i would occasionally get yelled at because I would just refer to virtually everyone who's a fuckhead as "a racist" even when that wasn't in evidence and i was just like, dude, racism is the default failure mode of humanity at this point
it's extremely consistent that when someone has either completely failed to learn to self-examine, or has been taken in by a grift, they're racist. so i just use that as a shorthand because i'm always right
some dude honks at me in a crosswalk from his very tall truck? racist, 98% chance. if dude hasn't confronted his pointless anger at "people who aren't in cars", dude hasn't confronted his racist indoctrination
gop trash: "you call anyone you don't like a nazi"
me: <awkwardly tugging at shirt collar> y-yeah but i'm not wrong,
this really connects well with my ongoing, increasing feel that we should lean in to absolutely everything they accuse us of, because they aren't wrong. we do call everyone we don't like a nazi, because we like basically everyone who isn't an inhuman monster.
i basically divide the world into "nazi" and "probably okay" and I don't see much reason to lie about it. people are mostly either inhuman monsters or Doing Their Best
footnote: they usually actually say "you call anyone you *disagree with* a nazi" so this doesn't work in response to that, but also, it's impossible to have a conversation with a person who thinks there's room for disagreement on "are nonwhites people"
