Two months ago, Sean Hannity joined Trump on stage during a rally and praised his administration.

On Tuesday, news broke that Hannity had been advising Trump on the shutdown.

Tonight Fox is letting Hannity interview Trump about it.

Fox has abandoned even the pretense of functioning as a news outlet rather than a propaganda one. And that's so incredibly obvious now that it's barely mentioned.
How can Fox executives let this happen? Because they really don't care as long as the money keeps rolling in.
No one there cares enough to say, "you know what, this is going a little too far, why don't we tell the White House that the president needs to do the interview with one of the news people we always point to when people criticize us for being shills?"
Instead, Hannity and White House comms director/former Fox co-president Bill Shine -- who got his start as a Hannity producer and is still drawing severance from the network -- seem to have dreamed this up, and Fox is just going with it.
