There are two types of population

1.Wanted population
2. Unwanted Population

Wanted population are assets to the society
Unwanted population are burden / scourge on the society

The basic tenants of Sanatana Dharma is to create Wanted population. That's why
1.Hoposcopes of bride & bridegroom were matched
2. Gharbhodana samaskaras were followed before & after marriage by the bride & bridegroom

Let me explain Gharbhodana Samaskara in brief.

As soon as the marriage was fixed by elders , both the bride & bridegroom used to meditate on the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krishna to bless them with a divine child . They used to chant holy mantras every day until marriage

These not only cleansed their body & Soul, but also their consciousness. In our Sanatana Dharma God was the center of gravity of every family, village & society at large.

Now God has been replaced with " Me & Mine" . Reason for conflicts

In Sanatana Dharma- purpose of sex was only for procreation & creation on wanted population & not for carnal sense gratification.
That's the reason first night was fixed on an auspicious day wherein the divine ashwini kumars could bless the couple with divine souls as progenies

The grooms were trained in the art of Bhramacharya before marriage, the bride grooms were thought
to respect elders,
cleanliness
Discipline
Cooking
They were thought as to how to be caring, affectionate & loving

Horoscopes *

Even at the time of ejaculation the couple were trained to chant the holy name , this is perfection of Sanatana Dharma, this is the time a soul enters the womb of the mother. When the Lords names are chanted at this time only divine souls will enter the womb of the mother

To understand this process one needs intelligence, unwanted Population cannot understand this process. Even when the child was in the womb the mother was chanting holy names & reciting holy scriptures -( eg - Prahalad Maharaja). Kayadhu - Prahalads mother is a great example
