... talk about the aloha "love in her heart" for all people w/o asking about her anti-LGBT positions -- an issue which Jones has amply championed -- was a pretty appalling softball a la why 2016 ended us with current POTUS. /2

How much longer will this administration expect @chefjoseandres to pick up the slack?
I mean, I have nothing but glowing things to say about @chefjoseandres -- and my nephew did run across a Jaleo this week waving his underwear over his head and they didn't complain -- but when it's normal to expect a chef to provide consistent emergency services -- where are we?
This man is inspiring. Maybe he wants $1.6 billion to build something actually useful.

Question from an enthusiastic Aunt/mediocre stand-in parent to actual parents --

What percentage of the surface area of a house has to be covered in exploded Legos before it is acceptable to call in an air strike? 40%? 50?
Lesson here seems to be:
- all parents secretly hate Legos despite creativity they spark
- this is in no small part bc of obsessiveness they also spark, so god help you if you vacuum up the special midnight blue cylindrical widget piece without which the Lego X cannot be built!
Whoever it was who said it wasn't worth it to ask the kid to clean up the Legos was right.

DC kids had an amazing snow day. But all around them were the parents talking about equity lines of credit, loans, mortgage payments, selling a car, and tuition payments who were damned glad to have a day of free fun for kids. Sled park talk amongst civil servants was bleak.
How many will leave and never go back -- on top of so many who have left, been pushed out? Is anyone keep a list of the gutted departments and agencies that need to be rebuilt under the next president? How can we possibly recruit that much expertise back into the government?
