Candidate: "Ugly baby syndrome"

I had no idea this term existed, but it SO perfectly answers the question. According to Urban Dictionary, it means...

"Females who, because something belongs to them or they created something (a baby) ...
...cannot step back and see that it is hideous-looking and repulsive to most everyone else who look at the same thing. Named after the medically known fact that the majority of women who birth ugly babies believe that this said baby is absolutely beautiful."
Applied to engineers/creators, this means don't love your ideas and solutions so much that you refuse to see that it actually isn't very good.

Have an open mind, be humble enough to accept feedback (good and bad), and be willing to change it if need be.
