I'm sure you must have seen this news report. I recall doing a thread on this particular subject in May 2018 based on the Q4:2017 Pencom Report. I just went through the Q4:2018 Pencom report and sadly nothing has changed. See next tweet for the thread

In the thread (which you can see below), I mentioned that only 12 States out of 36 were remitting Civil Servants pensions as required by law which. From the just released Pencom Report, only 12 are still remitting. Not one more State has been added.

The sad part of this is that 7 out of 23 States "yet to commence" Contributory Pension Scheme have pension laws in place for Governors and Deputies. Ironically, States with limited resources like Osun are fully implementing while some with huge resources like Akwa Ibom are not.

I might take the time to dissect the article a bit. But later. It's worth it to take the time to just read the piece and form your own understanding of it first.
