I can now foresee May's Deal going through (or a slightly tweaked variant of it).

It'll be done and dusted by summer.

What will we all think then? /1

Well, everyone but May will be cheesed off; some very.

The only positives will be avoidance of No Deal and moving to transition.

Leavers will be pissed off with a half-arsed deal (recall "it's worse than Remain").

'Remain' will have gone, so Remainers all pissed off too. /2

But with Leavers feeling the will of the people hasn't been delivered, why did parliament pass the Deal on the basis that it does so deliver (and indeed feeling compelled to pass the Deal "in order to deliver the will of the people")? /3

It'll be a nonsense situation.

We'll all stand around looking at each blankly, wondering how we managed to arrive here despite having watched it all unfold over 3 years. /4

Yet there'll be no easy path back to the situation that - as per varioys Leave figures - was "better than this deal"; something all the cheesed off Remainers will obviously agree with. /5

The negotiations on the final settlement will have by then started and Britain, from its new position of even greater weakness, will give way on various crucial points.

It'll add insult to the UK's many wounds, until we end up almost back where we started - but voiceless. /6

From inside this labyrinth at the end of a cul-de-sac, a cry will go up - "What a complete fucking waste of time! How did we get here!?"

Answer: Because we drifted here without sufficient will to turn back, despite being obviously led by a bunch of clowns. /7

This answer won't suffice. Being human, we will need someone else to blame.
