Just say no, to the toothy Ross Perot.
This is a venti bad idea which Americans will soy-ly regret.
There are no grounds for Schultz to run. This drip doesn't even have half a shot. It's not too latte for us to stop him. We must foament opposition so as to prevent him from watering down the Americano political system.
Plus, he built his entire career on eliminating free espresso.
Don't listen to the pundits who say his chances of becoming president are half and half, I'd say they're pretty skim.

1. Really compelling essay...highly recommend it. The basic argument here--that we are living through a moment when the reigning socio-economic paradigm is in crisis and on the verge of shifting--resonated with me in a distinctively generational way.
2. I was 12 when Reagan took office. At the risk of oversimplification, that moment signaled the end of the New Deal Order as the reigning socio-economic paradigm. Goldwater had put the first major shot across the NDO's bow in '64. In 1980, Reagan slayed it.
3. The new socio-economic orthodoxy was "government is bad, markets are always good." Over the course of the 80s and the 90s the Democrats accommodated themselves to this new paradigm, producing the "New Democrats" of the Clinton 90s.

3. Seriously...you wouldn't hire someone with zero business experience to run your company. So why on earth would you think that someone with zero political experience could run a freaking country?

You know how HTTP GET requests are meant to be idempotent? Well, do I have the story for you ... a while back I added WiFi control to our garage doors with little Wemos D1s.
The Wemos expose a simple web page with a link that says "Toggle". The endpoint for the link activates a relay, which is hooked up to the push-button on the garage door, which makes the door raise/lower/halt.
(This /toggle endpoint responds to GET requests. I threw the code together in minutes and was too lazy to spend another couple minutes figuring out POST. #regret)

So I was asked what kind of research can be done to help #BanDigitalElections and I was able to list out some investigation agendas. These agendas (and maybe some more) EVM investigation angles have been on my mind, and I follow them now and then, but just chaotically.
So I shall list out EVM research points here, so that anyone who wants to investigate & put up the fight to #BanDigitalElections can do so. Few persons or orgs may or may not be able to save country. Whole country must save itself. Many heads better than one! Release the Kraken!
1) Establish your case how there can be no election integrity,no genuine elections, unless elections are free & fair, transparent & accountable to all stakeholders including layman citizens. There are reputed international democracy promoting orgs, treaties, publications on this.
