Have you ever wondered what it would have been like if there was Twitter 2,000 years ago? Let me take you on an imaginary journey. Let’s say that there was Twitter in the time of Jesus and he was born in Nigeria. How would people have behaved towards Him? Fun Thread...
They would have said “Is he not the broadcaster’s son from Ebonyi? Does anything good ever come out of Ebonyi?” When the asked him whether they should pay tax, he would have asked them to give to FIRS what is FIRS’ and to God what is God’s. They would have called him...Fencist!😂
When they brought a woman accused of adultery and asked him what to do to her according to the law, he would have been writing on the floor before asking for whoever is without sin to cast the first stone. They would have stored up their bile for him, waiting for when to pounce.
When they arrested him and were torturing him, many people would have said “What did this man ever do wrong?” The crowd would have bayed “Crucify him! He proclaimed himself the King...of Boys!😂. They would then proceed to beat him, spit on him and drag him...on the floor.
While he is carrying his cross, someone from the West will say, this man is truly a prophet. Let’s say the man’s name is @BankyW. The mob will descend on him too and he’ll be martyred as St. Banky of Wellington. As Jesus receives the cross back, some kind women will wipe his brow
Meanwhile during his trial, many of his close friends would have run away and each denied him three times before the cock crowed. Then they will proceed to crucify him but none of his bones would be broken. On the 3rd day, he will rise again according to the prophecies of old.
