Many others who I have interacted with privately distinguished themselves with their silence, and their inability to distinguish between holding BOTH sides to have done wrong and being neutral; between a clear statement that the President acted unconstitutionally and silence.
This is not unexpected. Instead, it is a lesson for anyone that chooses not to run with the pack: one day, the pack will turn on you and crucify you. This is a fact I have always known and a burden that I accepted with my eyes open.
If I say the CJN should not even be in a position where he’s facing charges, the CCT gave a wrong order & the President has no powers to suspend the CJN , I am more concerned about our democracy than next month’s elections. If that is being “neutral”, I am guilty as charged.
However, the whole episode has been a great opportunity to distinguish between real friends, many who sent me DMs, called and even did threads in support; and those who seek validation from those who don’t know as much as they do. I’m going to church to pray for us all. End!
