From one illegality to another illegality.

President Buhari swore-in an Acting CJN on Friday, 25th January 2019, and Tanko Muhammad commenced work immediately.
Has Justice Tanko Muhammad deposed to an affidavit at Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) between Friday, 25 Januray and Saturday, 26 January declaring his assets?

Has ACJN complied with Section 290 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended)?
For the avoidance of doubt, section 290 (1) provides that:-

(1) A person appointed to any judicial office shall not begin to perform the functions of that office until he has declared his assets and liabilities as prescribed under this Constitution...
and has subsequently taken and subscribed the Oath of Allegiance and the Judicial Oath prescribed in the seventh Schedule to this Constitution.
Whereas Justice Tanko has taken oath of office, he has not declared his assets as required by Section 290 of the constitution, yet he has performed a function of the office he occupies.

1. Can we all agree that Buhari wants to tear our consitition into pieces? can we all agree that they are not pretending about it anymore?

I told you all that man is a dictator and that if we dont kill Buharism, it will kill us all. We are getting there slowly guys.
2. This is exactly how Hitler and Mussolini and all other dictators in history started out, First, they disobey the law and repress oppositions, then they change the law entirely to suit their goals and crush any opposition left and became law onto themselves
3. But I dont blame Buhari, I dont even blame those who voted him in. A dictator is as powerful as the masses and state institutions allow him to be. Every time Buhari disregarded our laws we made excuses for him.

1/ Although I think it's flawed I recognise Nick & Oliver put it forward in a genuine spirit of compromise and not to obfuscate the referendum

(It's depressing how other MPs less committed to Referendum are happy to trash this soft Brexit plan because they want to stop Brexit)
2/ In #January 2017, when I was first appointed at @OpenEurope, I was fan of leaving via Norway/EEA

I recall discussing it with @CER_Grant but also with many key Leavers

It would have been a sensible staging post & provided a better transition to work out our long term position

Today, France celebrates #BastilleDay The Storming of the Bastille occurred in Paris, France, on the afternoon of 14 July 1789. The medieval fortress, armory, and political prison in Paris known as the Bastille represented royal authority in the center of Paris.

37 years ago today -- in 5 minutes actually -- President Reagan was shot and nearly killed. The would-be assassin's bullet lodged an inch from his heart. The 70-year-old president lost half of his blood. Going to drop some of what I learned while researching my book, Rawhide Down
This is one of the most dramatic days in U.S. presidential history, and it revealed much about Reagan's character and courage. It established a strong bond between the president and the American people when they saw his mettle.
March 30, 1981, was gray and rainy in DC. The only thing of note on Reagan's schedule was a speech to the AFL-CIO at the Washington Hilton Hotel. Speech was a little bit of everything: shrinking govt, cutting taxes, addressing high crime rates.
