Anyway, I think about kind of thing a lot because I’ve been in New Media and UX for a while.

I think the bloom has fallen off the Mobile rose. Sales are flattening, and they’re becoming “commodities.”
Social media too. The stuff that’s blowing up are the places where the platform is secondary.
Like Fortnite or those digital voice assistant things.

Anyway, the museums of the future will probably be adaptive, providing ambient experiences that cater to the user, without screens.
Think Westworld but less shooting and way more interesting.

But tweaking a “Choose Your Own Adventure” narrative grouped and organized by hybrid librarians.

Like right now, there’s this arms race between Disney and Universal in their parks to create robust, customized immersive experiences.
Look at Star Wars and Harry Potter lands. And also this freaky robot for Tokyo Disneyland.

All that R&D trickles down and gets cheaper for other places (like retail or education) to use these systems in their locations.
Think about an exhibit that remembers your RFID member badge and offers more insight than last time. Or it can tell if you’re a toddler or adult.

Of course, in an age of constant data breaches and unregulated data collection, this is scary.
But imagine good actors acting within agreed upon rules... they could make some really cool stuff.
