The critical marketplace of ideas is a good thing and people need to stop getting their feelings hurt when they get roughed up in it. Ideas are a tough racket. Don't like it? Try Pinterest.
A big part of Twitter seems to be based on people plucking random bad takes out of the ether and focusing group ridicule on those bad takes. On balance, I tend to believe this is a good thing.
One of the weirdest parts of our modern culture is how it convinced massive swaths of people that they should be publishing their opinions about pretty much everything to a global audience at all times. People are still getting used to the consequences of what that means.
