1. “Discussing a framework for dialogue and interaction” is in all fairness a task best delegated to technical staff or political representatives, not a job for a political rally of leaders presided over by one of their number.
2. With all due respect, the first time we heard of some of those characters called to the meeting was when they announced their presidential ambitions and that was the last time too. Their presence in the elections barely registered in the political Richter scale.
3. There’s a bunch of cheerleaders who have already taken positions. One was appointed to a commission of inquiry. Others have been busy showing symptoms of a jilted lover. Others have been nowhere to be seen. Now someone is offering them political lifeboats.
