1/ So the Government has responded to the petition for a referendum if Parliament rejects the withdrawal agreement...
2/ Apparently "We will not hold a second referendum, and second-guess the clear instruction given to us by the British people...."
3/ "but instead we will continue to focus on holding meetings with colleagues across the House, looking to identify what is required to secure the support of Parliament and ensure that we leave in an orderly way on the 29 March 2019."
4/ Erm, is not holding meetings to identify what people can support second guessing the instruction given by the people?
5/ Maybe, if there is any doubt, Government could try asking the people whether the instruction was really no deal or the withdrawal agreement or actually that they would rather remain?
