Same couch, different dogs, different houses.
My Mom’s reaction to Sonny being on the couch here would be similar to when Ike was on it at hers:
“I don’t appreciate dogs on my couch but he’s my grand dog so it’s ok.”
I have informed Sonny she’ll haunt him though if he chews it

Also, same couch, a totally different house, many many more moons ago. Couch was reupholstered in the late 90s, but it’s existence predates me by about 6 years. I think it’s almost 50.
I think it has lasted so long because it was always a “living room” couch meaning only the finest of company could sit on it longer than 10 min. And that didn’t include unsupervised children or pets. Most of the time it sat in an unoccupied room. 🤷🏼♀️
