I grew up planting, harvesting and peeling cassava. We took the peeled cassava to a mill - where it was ground, and slowly fermented as water was drained out of it. It was then collected, sieved - and fried.

We fried garri because buying garri was considered too expensive.
I am not talking about ancient history - this happened under Abacha.

A lot of nonsense is said about "16 years of PDP" - but ask your parents, how many Nigerians dared to buy a new car before 1999? How much did civil servants earn before 1999?
People are so duplicitous, so disingenuous.

If Nigeria was so wonderful before "16 years of PDP" - what were the June 12 activists (many are now in APC) complaining about prior to 1999?
