Despite media headlines about lower refunds, this has nothing to do with actual tax burden. Per Tax Policy Center, 80% of taxpayers paid less in 2018 and an additional 15% saw no change washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/kamala…
Higher refunds just mean that taxpayers gave a larger interest free loan to the federal government the prior year. Lower refunds mean that taxes were more accurately withheld. washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/kamala…
