I think if I was purchasing a product from a cloud provider the first question I would ask would be: how did _you_ implement this?

You might be curious what you find out :)
“Ask the right questions, and you might find the answers you are looking for.” - yoda or some shit, nah I just made that up
The second question I would ask is what _their_ threat model is for their service, not mine, I’d know mine, but I’d want to make sure they understood theirs.
The third question I would ask was for a reproducible test suite proving their service was more performant than their competitors.
The harder of a sell you are, the better, it will force the market to a place of greatness :) customers rarely ask explicitly for performance but they will unconsciously choose the more performant product
Btw if you are NYC local and you want someone to interrogate a provider for you, let me know, I’ll do that for free.
