CNN reporting that Mueller 'could be' wrapping up his investigation, based upon activity that they're seeing @ OSC. We cannot substantiate this, & there's a good chance that the 'activity' is preparation to read AG Barr in & that's all. Remains to be seen. cnn.com/2019/02/20/pol…
2-Today's story, based upon the tweet of a CNN reporter staking out the OSC ofcs, is growing wings. It's good journalism to point out that until OSC OR AG Barr say, 'it's over', this remains PURE speculation. Mueller recently re-upped the use of his Grand Jury for an add'l 6 mos.
3-he has just 2 wks ago rec'd 7 THOUSAND pages of last years's House Intel transcripts that they're going over, he has just indicted Stone & questioned Brittany Kaiser for her inv with CA-all signs point to the OSC still being deeply entrenched in the investigation. Spec in DC
4-has been rampant since Whitaker said it was wrapping up 2 wks ago,& Whitaker stated during his Judiciary hearing that 'it was my opinion'. Keep in mind that we have NO verifiable evidence leading to the conclusion that OSC are close to finished. Mueller has to bring AG Barr up
5-to speed on a 2 yr investigation, that could lead to a lot of activity. Mueller may well have decided to wait until Barr was confirmed before further indicting anyone close to Trump. It's also reported that D-AG Rosenstein is leaving in just 2wks, & that creates activity, too.
6-It is the fondest hope of Trump & those closest to him that this inves will soon end, & there is also raging speculative chatter that AG Barr is going to shut it down. My reporting has it that both of those things begin & end at the point of wishful thinking.
