* Liz Truss criticised 'kamikaze' Cabinet Remainers for undermining PM by attempting to take no deal off the table

* Gavin Williamson warned extending A50 is runs risk of long extension - suggested EU will be able to set length
Andrea Leadsom said to be furious with Rudd, Gauke and Clark.

She said she was dismayed by the disintegration of collective responsibility.

'It was like stepping on an electrified rail whenever we suspended someone known to Jeremy Corbyn. Loto [the leader’s office] engaged in disciplinary cases as a matter of routine'
Here's Labour's response:

'These are malicious lies from a disgruntled former employee.

'A request was made to individuals in leader’s office for help in clearing a backlog of cases, which was complied with in good faith. No evidence has been provided to back up these claims'

No 10 officials have drawn up a series of options for PM ahead of crunch votes this week.

Extending A50 is among them

It's a finely balanced decision.

Such a move would avert Commons defeat over Cooper/Boles, but trigger rage from Eurosceptics
PM is also considering another option in No 10 paper for a 'conditional' vote on AG's plans to ensure backstop is temporary

Reasoning two-fold - it would buy PM time for negotiations, and also give her negotiating capital with Brussels if it passes

Important: despise the efforts of the media to portray it otherwise, Theresa May is NOT offering MPs a chance to take no-deal Brexit off the table.

What she is offering is much less useful: a vote on whether to leave under no-deal scenario. If that vote passes, we crash out.
If no-deal vote fails, MPs will be offered a vote to delay Brexit by extending Article 50. That's all. Doesn't take no-deal off the table, but merely postpones it by a few weeks or months. Make no mistake, no-deal will remain the default outcome even after *2* votes against it.
That's why the ERG are sounding remarkably relaxed about the prospect of a Brexit delay (though they're making token protest noises). They know:
A) No-deal remains default
B) EU are unlikely to accept a second extension
C) Closer we get to European elections, more stuck we are

BREAKING: May’s new Brexit Plan:
(1) MPs to get second meaningful vote by 12 March at latest (2) if that falls, MPs get vote on March 13 on leaving without a deal (3) if that falls, MPs get vote on 14 March on “short, limited” delay to Brexit.
PM has clearly been dragged kicking and screaming to this: “Let me be clear, I do not want to see article 50 extended, our absolute focus should be on getting a deal and leaving on March 29”.
She also claims that any extension would be a one-off and would simply create a “sharper cliff-edge” in a few months time. She warns: “An extension can’t take no deal off the table”.

First, as @davidallengreen never tires of saying, unless something happens, we leave by the operation of the law on March 29 with no deal. 2/
We avoid that outcome only by a) agreeing a deal; b) extending A50; or c) revoking A50. If b), we still have to choose either a) or c) at the end of extension, or it will be no deal. 3/

2 There are 3 things in play:
- Gov attempts to win MPs round to a version of the PM’s deal
- Attempts by MPs to take no deal off the table, or at least delay it
- Attempts by MPs (and maybe the Gov) to find out what kind of Brexit MPs want
3 Things kick off today at around 15:30, when the PM is due to make a statement outlining the Gov's next steps. A motion in neutral terms will also be tabled (probably just asking MPs to take note of the PM's statement).

Car industry @SMMT calls on Government AND directly to Parliament “to take No Deal option off the table” or risk “destroying this vital UK industry”.

But doesn’t mention PM’s deal.

No Deal wd have “immediate devastating impact, halting production, irreversible severe damage”
... my sense no doubt that industry would prefer PMs deal to a No Deal - but there wasn’t enthusiasm and heads are now being turned towards softer options... also if the Government is now telling business No Deal is no longer unlikely, unsurprising that we get this reaction
... the DIRECT appeal to MPs to take No Deal off the table is quite something. As I said - heads are being turned... even more so since the NO Deal ramp up.
