I took Vibedration from $0 to 7 figures in 15 mo & learned a few things:

1. large brands (camelbak) move too slow to copy your idea
2. listen to customers to get product ideas. We would vend at festivals and survey / talk to as many customers as possible
3. get good @ paid ads

4. spend time to develop relationships with overseas suppliers. Having a factory that knows a face to your brand improves everything from sample process / cost, new product concepts, QC, and product cost.

5. go without a real office for as long as possible, you don’t need it.

6. end emails chains asking for a “call” with a clear availability. IE I’m avail on x,y,z. If those don’t work let me know at least 3 that do and I’ll send you a calendar.”

7. Until you are doing more than 3 hours of fulfillment / customer service per day do it in your garage.

8. ALWAYS run contest / free product offer to build your email list. We use 2 negotiate sponsorship deals w/ a clause allowing for us to give away tickets and use Festivlas brand name in the giveaway. Easy way to build a email list. Cheap product in exchange for email is great.

9. Use equity to incentivize important vendors, employees, and advisors. You need cash to order product, pay fees, pay yourself, pay shipping, etc. Trading equity so people have skin in the game is super super important to scale. You want them to treat the company like their own.

10. Have fun. Once this stops you will stop SCALING. Takes 10 hour days for years.

This stopped 3 years in because of egos and our growth flat lined.

Hard to be stressed out when ur laughing.

I used to love music festivals, after going to over 100 I hate em & the music space.
