So Chris Grayling's incompetence with the ferries has cost us ANOTHER £33 million, which is the settlement that will be paid to Eurotunnel. Presumably with an NDA so that we never see the original documents CG put together for the failed ferry tenders.

Worth noting that the court case was due to start today, so he folded immediately before, presumably so that none of the dodgy dossiers would be revealed.
But I'm pretty sure he's going to keep his job. He's already had over a dozen scandals that would have felled a minister in normal times, but Brexit's the ultimate Get out of Jail Free card.
Yep. The early running is that he's set in stone where he is, because he has the "full confidence of Number 10", according to a spokesperson a few minutes ago.

If you're a betting person, Brexit fears have made Easter holidays abroad super-cheap. (But watch out for the small print in travel insurance policies because most won't cover Brexit disruption).
Just wait until the Government's no deal Brexit ads start airing on TV, supposedly in the next few days. Any remaining air will gush out of the travel market like a burst balloon. It would sadly be no surprise to see tour operators go bust, unable to carry the losses.
And if they do, all the blame should be laid on the Brexit cheerleaders and enablers. We are quite consciously, deliberately and methodically inflicting this on ourselves. (Crazy, eh?)

Brexiters talk about having to implement the result of the referendum as if it were a divine commandment. But Brexit itself isn't affected by the vote to leave. A lemon is a lemon, whether you're a Leaver or Remainer. Gravity affects people of all political persuasions the same.
Yet magically Brexit is supposed to be different, because of how the referendum turned out? Cause and effect don't work like that. You can't vote to win the lottery. You can't vote for your team to win the football. You can't vote for Brexit to be a success.
Once you figure that out, you'll realise that we're all on the same side. We are fighting the consequences of Brexit. The manner of our struggle may be different. Some may want to vanquish Brexit by remaining in the EU. Others by pushing to change the terms of our departure.

We rightly laugh at Trump staffing the White House with his idiot children, but our Prime Minister’s nepotism is no better. Chris Grayling is her long-time chum, so no matter how unfit for office, how much damage he causes and how many lives his policies ruin, he is bulletproof.
