Does anybody know when Charles Johnson *started* working for Dershowitz?

I'm going to assume it was... 2014 or earlier?
Yup yup.

He released his book - via Encounter Books, Mark Judge's publisher - in 2013, and worked for Dershowitz before that.

Funny that both Bob Menendez and Virginia Tech scandals happened after that... while Dersh considered him his 'lawyer'

Isn't that a violation of the Crime Victims Rights Act?

I recall there being something about treating victims with 'fairness' and 'dignity.'
I'd say those investigating the fallout of criminal actions for legislative purposes who directly interact with the victims should qualify.

Okay, so I have some philosophical issues with what's going on with the handling of the controversy surrounding @Ilhan Omar.

My argument, however, is not the same as @paulwaldman1 makes below, though he raises salient points.

I don't know if her tweets are offensive. I don't count as Jewish.

I don't recall seeing the tropes she's accused of referencing deployed within my lifetime, though I do recall encountering discussion in a historical context.
What I do know that I use those same 'tropes' to reference contemporary organizations & nation-states that engage in human rights violations and sundry acts of criminal and moral turpitude.

Saudi Arabia? ✅

I'm about to start watching Brett Kavanaugh's Congressional testimony, and I'll say that—having watched Dr. Ford's testimony—I expect what I'm about to watch will be the most shameful and offensive few hours of television I've seen in the past few years. Hope he proves me wrong.
2/ Holy *crap* he's visibly angry. Didn't see such an obviously fake performance coming. But here it is, just seconds in.
3/ The anger is bullsh*t because there are *so many things* he could've done to help clear his name over the last two weeks. He did *literally none of them* and he *chose* not to. Most notably, he wouldn't ask for other witnesses to appear before Congress or an FBI investigation.

I had to take the day away from Twitter after I read #UmaThurman's story. I was shattered.

I'm not sure why #UmaThurman's story hit me. Was it because 30yr old me dodged a bullet with #HarveyWeinstein? Was it because her friend saw her disheveled and hysterical? Was it because of what happened in that car scene?

No way to know. #PTSD is like that. Unpredictable.
