2) It followed the sequence, 1750 - TMU - Teaming Up, where Peter and Miles exposit a lot of information about the situation while walking around the rooftops (and walls... <— SpiderPeople). That sequence also went through MANY major re-writes and cuts. As TMU changed...

3) more info started to seem redundant between the two sequences.
You may remember a bit from the trailers where Peter uses French fries to describe the multiverse. You can see this bit in the Alt Universe Cut when you buy the digital release. Well...

4) Marketing chose to use the french fry bit in the trailer, so we had to rush the sequence into production while it was very much in flux. We loved the bit, but Sequence TMU kept receiving more exposition about the collider/multiverse, so this french fry bit started to...

5) over explain. I think the real nail in the coffin to the french fry bit came when I was watching an episode of the (amazing) show @LegionFX.

Yup, that’s the lead character explaining how multiverses work with French fries in a diner including similar shots, staging...

6) AND this @LegionFX scene just happened to be shot at a diner we always ate at near our office in Culver City, S&W Diner. This was seriously all coincidental. Everyone at work LOVED me the next day when I showed them this episode. (<— Sarcasm)...

7) So the bit that was already on the chopping block officially got cut... We still felt the scene was necessary but it needed to find more of a purpose. Luckily, there was some Spider-Man tips about putting baby powder in the suit to avoid chaffing that needed a new home...

8) A more earnest version of the Spider Tip conversation was in the billboard scene before it went into production and before the scene got cut out entirely. Before the billboard scene existed, the Spider tips were in the plane scene that you can watch in the Alt Universe Cut!...

9) Not to mention all the passes our lead editor, our other associate editor, and myself took on sequence GRK to re-cut and re-organize the scene so it was lean and efficient while also trying to make the jokes land better.
