Jason Kenney announces another new UCP election platform - cut business tax by a third, from 12% to 8% over four years. He's estimating that will create 50K jobs. #ableg

Kenney accuses the NDP of thinking profit is a "dirty word" and "businesses should be punished for what they do." #ableg
This is one part of the UCP election platform, Kenney says. So I guess we'll keep our eye out for more in the coming days. He says tax reform in the US means we're paying more than them, so investment is flowing south. #ableg
He's calling the current state of the economy "A second NDP recession," which is an.... interesting choice of words. #ableg

Kenney says this tax cut will only see a shortfall in provincial coffers in 2019-20, but then businesses will crate jobs and such and BAM the economy is flying (I am obviously paraphrasing). #ableg
Q from the floor: How do we know this tax cut will actually create jobs, rather than businesses just taking the extra cash and being like, 'Sweeet'? Kenney says he's basing that on history. #ableg
Oh man now in French ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Oh wait here we go, he's explaining how a 2012 paper by Prof Dalby at U of C (which Kenney is using as proof it will work) is relevant today. He says the prof reviewed numbers with today's economic figures. #ableg
