/ A-ha

@Geoffrey_Cox As you are in a bind, I have an idea. Read on 👀
/ You gave some legal advice which you cannot change unless the Withdrawal Agreement changes (either itself or some other treaty level change)
/ This means a lot of Tory MPs are relying on you because they effectively voted against the Withdrawal Agreement in favour of “alternative arrangements”.* The 🦄 motion as I call it.

*only Ken Clarke voted for the withdrawal agreement and against the 🦄 motion.
/ And the EU is remaining steadfast not to amend the Withdrawal Agreement because (1) it was based on the December 2017 joint report, (2) the UK wide backstop was something the UK asked for and (3) you clowns in Parliament cannot decide what you actually want...
/ Even though apparently EVERYONE KNEW WHAT THEY WERE VOTING FOR IN 2016
/ And now there is talk by some MPs based on the clever brain of Martin Howe of a long extension (which the EU would need to agree)
/ Now a long extension makes clear that MPS who want Brexit don’t want a terrible Brexit which is what a no deal Brexit would be
/ You know this too because the Government published its no deal paper which is pretty terrible. You can read about it here
/ Now if you go for a long extension - say 2 years - it will be at least 5 years since the initial vote and then at least another 1.5 years of transition. Would you still have a mandate at that point? You’d probably have to have an election at some point minus @theresa_may
/ And if you lose an election your whole deal is in jeopardy. So, what to do?
/ Well you could have another referendum and put the deal versus remain to the public but that would be weird because the only Tory who voted for it so far is Ken Clarke who would campaign for remain
/ That all seems a bit unpalatable. So here is my idea...
/ Revoke the article 50 notice and stay in the EU

👏👏👏👏👏👏
/ This means you won’t breach the Good Friday Agreement or risk the economy or the nation’s security
/ But best of all, staying the EU means that at some point in the future you could trigger article 50.
/ Article 50 gives you your unilateral exit right without risking peace in Ireland
/ Let me know if you want me to adjust your legal advice 🤞
