This is becoming too frequent and too serious to laugh off as typical government IT cock-ups.

The criminal courts are being stopped from functioning.

Why is every aspect of IT in the criminal justice system - from the CPS case management system to the Crown Court Digital Case System to probation’s IT to the court WiFi to CJSM secure email - so unreliable and prone to failing? Who is responsible? Who is bearing the cost?
Video link technology is its own sour joke, but should also form part of the remit. Why are so many court hearings frustrated by the tech breaking down?
While we’re at it, perhaps we could have a sensible explanation as to why the Royal Courts of Justice still don’t have basic WiFi, despite the Court of Appeal (Criminal Division) now being supposedly digital?
