Hello @nsitharaman, if everything related to Rafale deal was a secret, how did BJP IT Cell came to know of the exact price 5 months before the contract was signed? Govt signed the contract on 23 Sep 2016 and BJP tweeted the price on 19 April 2016.
Pls ask AG to explain this in SC
@nsitharaman whether Official Secret Act will be applicable only to Journalists and activists or BJP IT Cell will also come under its purview??

1/ Listened to a good debate on a Pakistani Channel where most of the panelists (all Pakistani intellectuals including some ex-military officials) said if international community have to take Pakistan seriously, Pakistan must act against the terror groups using its soil.
2/ One panalist said, after Pulwama attack, Saudi Crown Price visited both the countries and he did not say anything on terrorism because even if the countries like UAE and KSA want to support Pak, they can't because in last 15 - 20 yrs India's economic might have increased +
3/ considerabily.
The conclusion was, the terrorist organisations created by USA, KSA along with PAK to oppose USSR / Russia using Pakistan soil for their (those organisation's) benefit is the problem. And if they don't act against these groups, it will not do any good for Pak.

1/ It is compulsory in every RSS meeting and program to recite a Sanskrit poem written in 1940 which starts with “namaste sada vatsale matribhume, tvaya hindubhume sukham vardhitoham...” The last line of the poem is in Hindi - Bharat Mata Ki Jai
2/ The poem says Bharat Mata is Hindu Bhumi and the RSS members bow before their Hindu motherland. Hence, for Sangh Pariwar, BMKJ was always an effort to invoke Hindu Nationalism. And as long as ‘Bharat Mata’ is depicted as a Hindu Goddess, it certainly is communal.
3/ Since last few years, BMKJ became an important part of communal politics of Sangh pariwar.
Examples:RSS Supremo Mohan Bhagwat said ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ is essential to nurture nationalism

Govt quickly got it to action & started process. RFP was floated by NDA Government in 2004.
➡ Requirement of 126 Jets was took over by Congress after 2004 elections. Revised RFP was out in 2007 but bids were open in 2011. Even after 4 years of delay, deal was never finalised by Congress.

So far, #Rafale discussion has been about the cost to the nation. Although even that was all hot air and faff, as a confusion and misinformation tactic it was effective.
Although BJP could well explain the cost figure differences like that fact that the cost Congress keeps talking about was just a bargaining point and never agreed upon in a contract, it’s quite well known BJP has been ineffective in communicating this to the masses clearly.
