The issue was reported to PayU months back, but the company seems to not understand the issue of tokenized card information exposing last 4 digits as a privacy issue.

This was what @PayUmoney had to say when @jaivardhan88 of @entrackr asked them about it few months back.
Sure, @PayUmoney may not be violating any card security standards, but *it is possible* to get your card blocked by random person on internet and you could suffer a harm of not being able to transact online temporarily
It is also important to understand we do not have a privacy / data protection law, so @PayUmoney is not liable for any damages which may arise due to this. Yes, its completely legal on them to display last 4 digits of your card
So if you are PayU money user and want some privacy, please head to payumoney.com/customer/dashb… and delete your saved cards. #CashlessConsumer

First up some fact checking on email, tweets. Then some commentary about BBPS, then the larger idea of NPCI being the behemoth, what it means to industry, @CashlessConsumr and the whole data game.

KVV: Starts with explaining that govt. has failed to show how Aadhaar has resulted in savings. Explains the kinds of frauds possible in PDS scheme- eligibility, quantity and quality fraud.

If we take into account the amount we spen don AADHAAR and the amount various irganisations are still spending and the charges for each and evey verification process at retail stage, the profit will be negative. (7/n)

Since, #Aadhaar involves mandatory collection of biometric and demographic data, and its centralised storage, it essentially involves the question of #Privacy . Especially in country where there are no Data protection frameworks.
