One year ago today...
The Cambridge Analytica scandal began with LeaveEU. And one year on from @chrisinsilico's revelations, today - for first time ever! - a ray of hope! The gig is so up for @nigel_farage. The emperor has no clothes. And his friend Donny Trump is going down..
And what @chrisinsilico revealed a year ago is how Brexit & Trump are 2 same campaigns linked by 2 same companies: Cambridge Analytica & Facebook. It's transnational money, data, crime. And boggles the mind that anyone on the left could support this...

These docs are pretty extraordinary. The Cambridge Analytica/Facebook scandal always smelled like a cover-up. But now it looks one too. Washington DC Attorney General publishes redacted docs from inside Facebook that shows the official timeline is a crock of shit
If this seems like a complicated story, it isn't. Do you remember the weird silence from Facebook that followed publication of Cambridge Analytica story? The 4 days before Zuck emerged? The story he told then & later to Congress is now in serious dispute

Late last night Facebook changed its story on Cambridge Analytica. Again. Press office came up with whole new line. Now saying there was *another* Cambridge Analytica security alert. Which, after 3 years of denials, they only just thought to mention..

Pre season is a crucial time for improving overall player sharpness

So to help lead the team through intense fitness regimes, Shez appointed John Harbin as the new fitness coach. A man who previously worked at both Latics and Oldham RLFC.

Oh and he’s 70 years of age 😂
Nevertheless, due to Shez actually not fucking off for once (or vice versa) we went into the season with much needed continuity.

We also kept hold of a decent core of players and so an unfamiliar feeling of optimism started creeping into the club...

Okay, new thread: We're going into A New Hope, which I haven't seen in so long that I will hilariously remember almost none of it. It's a DVD/blu-ray set I picked up on a whim for like $30, because you can't NOT afford the OT at that point. #sithmas
This movie is one year older than me, so to me it's just STAR WARS. I resisted "A New Hope" for a long time because iT'S STAR WARS DAMMIT. I assume this is the revised New Coke edition. Nice bright/crisp picture so far. #sithmas
Here is something else I wanted to see: going from the cinematography and visual effects of 2006 and 2016 to, uh, 1977. Maybe it's easier to go from "gritty" Rogue One than it is from shiny Revenge of the Sith. #sithmas

How long does a day last everyday? 24 hours? Wrong.

We define day as the time taken by Earth to complete one rotation around its axis.
But with respect to what is the measurement made? 2/n
Since Earth is also revolving around Sun while it is rotating, it needs to rotate a little extra when rotation is measured w.r.t. sun (solar day) than a distant star (sidereal day)
